Before You Start
Prerequisites
Note: An active gateway must be installed and active before proceeding with sensor installation.
Before installing this device, ensure the following:
- You have an active account and login access to the Invisible Systems Live platform
- The monitoring location has been checked and agreed
- The installation location provides suitable signal coverage
- The device asset ID / label has been recorded or is visible
- You have safe access to the installation location
- The environment is within the normal operating conditions for the product
Tools Required
- Screwdriver or bit
- Mounting Pad - Double Sided
- Mounting Screws (optional)

Installation Steps
Record the Device ID
-
Note the 16-digit Device ID from the sticker on the rear of the device.
The ID will begin with 70B

Remove the Rear Cover
- Using a suitable screwdriver, remove the four screws from the rear of the sensor.
Caution: Sensor cables pass through the opening in the top cover. When separating the case ensure cable is not pulled.

CT Clamps / Channels
Your device is supplied with three CT clamps, provided at the current ratings and physical sizes specified at the time of order.
CT clamps are available in two formats:
- Rigid (split-core) CT clamps
- Flexible (Rogowski) CT clamps

Where Rogowski (flexible) CT clamps are supplied, an external integrator is also provided.
The integrator must be powered for accurate current measurement. Refer to the integrator documentation for power and wiring requirements.
Channel Configuration
The three-channel meter can be used in one of the following configurations:
-
Single-phase monitoring
Each CT clamp monitors a separate single-phase circuit
-
Three-phase monitoring
Each CT clamp monitors one phase of a three-phase circuit
Ensure the selected configuration matches the electrical installation and intended measurement setup.
Note: Before installation, it is recommended that you record which CT clamp is connected to each channel.

This information will be required during system configuration and commissioning to ensure measurements are correctly assigned and reported.
Phase Mapping / Labelling
For three-phase installations, correct phase mapping is essential to ensure accurate measurement and reporting.
- Label each CT clamp during installation (for example L1, L2, L3)
- Record which CT is connected to each channel before closing the panel
- Ensure the recorded phase mapping matches the system configuration in the platform
Incorrect phase mapping may result in misreported or misleading energy data.
CT Orientation

CT clamps must be installed with the correct orientation to ensure accurate measurement.
- The CT arrow or label must point in the direction of current flow, typically towards the load
- Ensure the CT clamp is fully closed around the conductor
- Do not install CT clamps over multiple conductors
- Avoid placing CT clamps on damaged or poorly insulated cables
Incorrect orientation may result in inverted or inaccurate readings.
Installing Rigid CT Clamps

Rigid CT clamps must be fully opened and correctly closed around the conductor during installation.
- Carefully open the CT clamp using the release mechanism or by pulling the two parts apart
- Place the CT around a single conductor only
- Ensure the CT is fully closed and latched before energising the circuit
- Do not force the CT closed if it is misaligned
- Do not install rigid CTs over multiple conductors or cable bundles
An incompletely closed CT clamp may result in inaccurate readings or no measurement.
Activate the Battery
- Press the reset as indicated below.
- You should see a single green LED flash.
- Wait for 10-15 seconds, you should see a double green led flash. This indicates that the sensor has connected with the gateway.

Confirm Device Start-Up
-
1 green flash - device powered on
-
2 further green flashes - device successfully connected to the gateway,
If the additional green flashes are not observed, refer to the Common Issues section.
Note: Do not proceed with installation if you have not seen the successfully connected flashes, refer to the Common Issues section.
Re-fit the Cover
- Replace the cover and secure it using the four security screws.
Apply the Mounting Pad
Note: You can secure the device using the provided screw holes if adhesive pads are not suitable.
