How do I change the battery on my T or U Series device?

The following guide will take you through the battery replacement steps for the T and U Series device. You can watch the video or follow the written steps below.

Important 

  • Please remove the cover slowly to avoid pulling any cables out of their connection blocks.
  • Batteries which have been sent from Invisible Systems will have the metal prongs pre cut to size. You will not need to carry out this step.

Caution

  • Do not use damaged, leaking, or swollen batteries
  • Do not mix old and new batteries
  • Do not short-circuit, crush, puncture, or incinerate batteries
  • Keep batteries out of reach of children

  1. Remove the Rear Cover
    Remove the four security screws and carefully lift off the cover.
  2. Remove the Battery
    The battery is secured by metal retaining prongs inserted into the PCB terminals and a double-sided adhesive pad beneath the battery.


    To remove the battery:

    • Grip the battery firmly on both sides
    • Apply even pressure, gently rocking the battery side-to-side
    • Gradually pull the battery away from the PCB until the retaining prongs disengage and the adhesive releases
                                       


  3. Insert the New Battery
    Insert the new battery into the PCB terminals, ensuring the correct polarity is observed. Press the battery firmly into place until it is fully seated.

  4. Confirm Device Start-Up
    Observe the LED indicator to confirm the device powers on.
  5. Re-fit the Front Cover

    Replace the front cover and secure it using the two security screws.


  • Do not lever against the PCB or components.
  • Do not pull from one side only, as this may damage the terminals
  • Insert the New Battery
    Insert the new battery into the PCB terminals, ensuring the correct polarity is observed. Press the battery firmly into place until it is fully seated.

  • Confirm Device Start-Up
    Observe the LED indicator to confirm the device powers on.

  • Re-fit the Front Cover
    Replace the front cover and secure it using the two security screws.
