How do I use the Probe Report tool?

Probe reports tell you how many times sensors have gone above and below their safe thresholds. This guide will teach you how to view Probe Reports in Live by Invisible Systems and how to filter reports to only display the information you need.

Step 1: Open Probe Reports

Click "Reports" in the side menu, then select "Probe Report".

Step 2: Set your report options

Under "Report Options", choose a start and end date for your report. Then select the sensor points you want to include — you can use "Select all", search by name, or scroll and pick individually. Click "Submit".

Step 3: Read the summary table

A summary table will appear showing each sensor's day and night thresholds, minimum and maximum readings, average temperature, and Mean Kinetic Temperature (MKT). The colour next to each sensor shows its status over the selected period: green (within threshold), red (exceeds alarm threshold), yellow (exceeds warning threshold), or no colour (no thresholds set).

Step 4: View an individual sensor

Tabs for each sensor point appear across the top of the summary table. Click a tab to view that sensor's full report.

Step 5: Read the chart

A chart shows the sensor's temperature over the selected period. The blue line is the sensor's readings; the red lines mark its minimum and maximum thresholds.

Step 6: Check exceptions

Beside the chart, you'll see an Exceptions section. This shows every time the sensor went outside its thresholds — including the date and time, how long it lasted, and the reading that caused the breach. Note: not every exception means an alarm was triggered. If a sensor returned to safe levels within your alarm delay window, it still counts as an exception.

Step 7: Print or download your report

Click "Print" above the chart to print immediately. Click the three lines next to it to download in various formats (CSV, PNG, JPEG, PDF, SVG). On the summary page, use "Print Summary" to print just the table, "Print Report" to print the full report including all sensors, or "CSV" to download the summary as a spreadsheet.
