How do I use the Live by Invisible Systems Online Document Library
This guide will show you how to use the Document Library to store and access important documents, reports and certification.
The Document Library is a place to store and access important documents related to your sites and sensors, such as certificates, risk assessments, and service reports.
Step 1: Go to Document Library
Click "Document Library" in the side menu. You'll see four sections to choose from:
- Certificates - for calibration certificates and other sensor-related certification.
- Risk Assessments - for any risk assessments relevant to your department or business.
- Service Reports - for sensor and equipment service reports.
- Miscellaneous Files - for anything that doesn't fit the above, such as training documents.
Step 2: Upload a document
Click on the relevant section, then fill in the following to upload a file:
- File Name - type a name for the document.
- Category - select a category from the dropdown to help organise and find the file later (see Step 4 for how to create categories).
- Browse - click to find and select the file from your device.
Click "Upload". The document will appear in the files table below.
Note: accepted file types are gif, jpg, jpeg, png, pdf, doc, docx, csv, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, and zip. Maximum file size is 5MB.
Step 3: Edit or delete a document
To edit a document, click "Edit File" in the Actions column. You can update the file name, change its category, or replace the file with a new version. Click "Submit" to save.
To remove a document, click "Delete File" in the Actions column.
Step 4: Create file categories
Categories help you organise documents so they're easier to find. To add one, click "File Category Config" under Document Library in the side menu, then:
- Type the category name under "Category Name".
- Select which section it should appear in using the "Category Type" dropdown - choose from Certificates, Risk Assessments, Service Reports, or Miscellaneous Files.
- Click "Add".
The category will now appear in the dropdown when uploading files to that section.
