Understanding gateway LED lights
The LED lights on your Invisible Systems gateway indicate its current status — whether it is powered, connected to the network, and communicating correctly. This guide explains what each light means so you can quickly identify whether your gateway is working normally or needs attention.
The gateway is the device that connects your sensors to the internet. If the gateway goes offline, all sensors connected through it will also appear offline in Live.

| Light / Behaviour | What It Means |

| Status light blinking twice (regularly) | Gateway is operating normally. |
| LoRa light on | LoRa radio module is active and ready to receive sensor transmissions. |
| Cell light flashing randomly | Gateway is attempting to establish a cellular connection. This is normal during start-up. |
| Light slowly blinking blue | Gateway is powered and idle. |
| Light quickly blinking red | Gateway is in an error state. Wait 5 minutes — if it does not clear, contact support. |
| Red light still on after 5 minutes | Gateway error has not resolved. Contact support. |
| No lights at all | Gateway has no power. Check the power supply and any fuses. |
What to Check Before Contacting Support
- Check the power supply — confirm the gateway is plugged in and the power supply is working. Try a different socket if possible.
- Check the antennas — make sure all antennas are securely attached and undamaged. A missing or loose antenna can significantly affect performance.
- Check for environmental changes — has anything changed near the gateway recently? New equipment, building work, or a change in location can all affect signal and connectivity.
- Power cycle the gateway — if the gateway is showing an error state, try switching it off, waiting 60 seconds, and switching it back on.
When to Contact Support
Contact support if:
- The gateway has no lights after checking the power supply.
- The gateway is showing a red error light that has not cleared after a power cycle.
- The gateway appears to be powered but all sensors connected to it are still offline in Live.
- The gateway was working and has gone offline without any apparent change on site.
When contacting support, note down which lights are on and what they are doing — for example "cell light flashing, LoRa light off" — as this helps the team diagnose the issue remotely.
