Before You Start
Prerequisites
Note: An active gateway must be installed and active before proceeding with sensor installation.
Before installing this device, ensure the following:
- You have an active account and login access to the Invisible Systems Live platform
- The monitoring location has been checked and agreed
- The installation location provides suitable signal coverage
- The device asset ID / label has been recorded or is visible
- You have safe access to the installation location
- The environment is within the normal operating conditions for the product
Tools Required
- Screwdriver or bit
- Mounting Pad - Double Sided
- Mounting Screws (optional)

Installation Steps
Record the Device ID
-
Note the 16-digit Device ID from the sticker on the rear of the device.
The ID will begin with 70B

Remove the Rear Cover
- Using a suitable screwdriver, remove the four screws from the rear of the sensor.
Caution: Sensor cables pass through the opening in the top cover. When separating the case ensure cable is not pulled.

Activate the Battery
- Press the reset as indicated below.
- You should see a single green LED flash.
- Wait for 10-15 seconds, you should see a double green led flash. This indicates that the sensor has connected with the gateway.

Confirm Device Start-Up
-
1 green flash - device powered on
-
2 further green flashes - device successfully connected to the gateway,
If the additional green flashes are not observed, refer to the Common Issues section.
Note: Do not proceed with installation if you have not seen the successfully connected flashes, refer to the Common Issues section.
Re-fit the Cover
- Replace the cover and secure it using the four security screws.
Apply the Mounting Pad
Note: You can secure the device using the provided screw holes if adhesive pads are not suitable.
- Apply mounting pad to the rear of the device
Mount the Device
- Secure the device in the pre-selected location, ensuring it is firmly fixed
Probe Installation
The temperature probe may be used to monitor temperatures in a range of environments, including fridges, freezers, cold rooms, or general storage areas. The probe should be positioned in a representative location within the area requiring monitoring.
Select a location that reflects the normal operating conditions of the space and is suitable for the intended monitoring purpose.
For fridge or freezer installations, there are several suitable methods:
- Where available, route the probe cable through the rear access port of the appliance.

- If no access port is present, the cable may be routed through the door seal, ensuring that the seal remains intact and the door closes properly.
If installing in a fridge, the transmitter may be placed inside the appliance if required. However, lower ambient temperatures may reduce the battery lifespan, and this should be considered when selecting the installation location.
Securing the Probe

To ensure accurate and consistent readings, the probe must be securely positioned and prevented from moving.
- Fix the probe in place using an appropriate clip, bracket, or cable tie
- Ensure the probe is not in direct contact with cooling elements, evaporator plates, or airflow vents unless specifically required
- Avoid leaving the probe loose inside the appliance, as movement may result in fluctuating readings
Where monitoring air temperature, position the probe in a representative location within the storage area, away from doors and direct airflow.
Adding the Sensor to the 'Live' Platform
- Log in in to the Invisible Systems Live Platform
- Navigate to Sensor Setup
- Select Add New Sensor
- Enter the 16-digit Device ID recorded earlier
For full platform instructions, refer to the Live Platform User Guide.
Verify Data Is Being Received
- In the Live platform, navigate to Sensor Diagnostics
- Confirm the sensor status is online
- Verify that data readings are being received
- If data is not visible, refer to the Common Issues section
Note: It may take up to 10 minutes after activated for data to appear.
Installation and commissioning are complete once data is visible in the Live platform.
